Cruise of the Night

Cruise of the Night

From the slit of my window sill

An array of illuminated streak

Intrude in the quietness of my room

The songster singing a sonnet to its tune

As the sun melts lazily in the clouds

And the night wears a limpid look

The sift of the stars on a placid sky

The myriad lock the gaze forever

A river cruise on such a serene night

When the moonlit waves shimmer

The gondola sweeps through the ripples

The world passing by as a blur

Flowing along crossing all dimensions

Gliding through the night touching horizons

The quiescence of the night is invaded

Our reflections piercing the night sky
